From the “Sights of Azerbaijan” series: Our client from UAE sent a photo near to the Bibi Heybat Mosque (Baku).

Bibi Heybat Mosque located on the Caspian Sea 4-5 km away from Baku. Here is located the grave of the seventh imam Musa-Kazim’s(AS) daughter Hakimah and imam’s two boys and girl’s grandsons grave. This historical and religious monument was built in the thirteenth century by Shirvanshah II Farrukhzad ibn Akhsitan.

In 1934 the mosque was blown. However, after independence, the mosque was restored again. The restoration of the mosque began in 1998 and on 12 July 2008 the mosque was opened. So, Bibi Heybat Mosque always interesting as a sign of the Ahlal-Bayt for the local people and foreign pilgrims.
